I capture the emotion and wonder within the World around us.
Hi, I am Jen Kirk, a portrait and family photographer based just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah.
I have been passionate about photography since my first class in high school, where I used film. However, life took me in a different direction, and I stepped away from pursuing photography full-time. And 4 years ago, I returned to the digital era of photography. Recieving my Bacholars of Art Degree in Digital Photography from Southern New Hampshire Univiersity. It provided me with a means to express how I view the world. It offered me a unique way to visually narrate stories, much like an author conveys tales through words. Even today, I use photography to tell stories.
Initially, I focused on capturing subjects that intrigued me. As I grew older, this evolved into a way of telling my family's stories and, in many ways, my own story as well. I am driven to share my perspective with the world, highlighting details that often go unnoticed. I believe that if we could slow down, many of these small wonders would become apparent. However, when we rush through life, we often miss the beauty in things like the earth glistening after rain or the delicate flutter of a butterfly's wings.
When I’m not working on a photographic project, I enjoy spending time outdoors, embracing all the activities that Utah has to offer throughout the year. I also love reading, listening to music, and spending quality time with my family.
